Built in 1910 by architects Bruce and Hay, the former Our Lady and St Margaret’s School is a beautiful stone building designed to educate 1000 scholars. Built to last, the schoolhouse has been at the heart of a vibrant community for over seventy-five years. Through redevelopment this historic structure has undergone a transformation that anyone who has ever known the school would be proud of; a contemporary atmosphere marrying the historical and modern through materials. Copper panels, Scottish oak and brushed stainless steel fuse history with utility. Rubber floorings join the original Victorian glass screens preserving the former division of space and allow light to flow through the building and interact with the coloured light, creating an inspirational work atmosphere with all the technological trappings of a modern office. Located within walking distance of Shields Roads and Kinning Park subway stations, with one set of traffic lights to the M8 and near the soon to be completed Finniston Bridge.
